1. Cookies and similar storage
Board Bear uses browser storage to remember sign-in and game preferences. “Cookies” in this policy also covers comparable local-storage technologies. This policy describes storage used by the current Board Bear web game; external sign-in and payment pages may set their own cookies under their own policies.
2. Storage used by the game
- Sign-in session: the authentication service stores session data on your device so you stay signed in and can use your account. It is needed for account features.
- Game progress and preferences: local storage remembers guest coins and unlocks, and settings such as sound, volume and graphics quality. Signed-in balances and purchases are checked against the account’s server records.
- Last ride mode: local storage remembers your most recently selected mode so the lobby can open it again.
These are functional storage items, not advertising trackers. Storage persists until you clear it, sign out where applicable, or the browser removes it. A network or hosting provider may also use technically necessary cookies to deliver and secure the service.
3. External services
If you select Google sign-in or open Stripe checkout on the web, those services may use their own necessary storage to complete authentication, payment and fraud checks. Their privacy and cookie notices apply to their pages and embedded payment forms. Google Play may do the same in an Android purchase flow if billing is enabled in the future; billing is not yet active in the current Android build.
4. Optional tracking and your controls
The current game does not intentionally install advertising or optional analytics cookies, so there is no optional-tracking switch to set here. If we introduce non-essential tracking later, we will update this notice and request prior consent where required before setting it. You can clear or block browser storage in your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or erase guest progress and preferences. For information about your data rights, read our Privacy Policy.
